Growing up in Minnesota, it's in your blood to be an outdoorsy person. ​Whether I was in the woods gathering Christmas greens or sneaking into the ​neighbor's yard to hack up their hydrangea bush, you always knew where to ​find me, foraging! Flowers have always been a big part of my life. True story, ​my first job was at my towns flower shop off Main Street. During my 20's, I ​earned my Associates Degree in Landscape & Nursery Tech while procuring a ​job in the landscape field. I have had other jobs non-floral related but always ​found myself playing with flowers at the end of the day. That's when it hit me, ​"this is going to be my career".

I started Blooma by Megan in 2015 as a freelance branding name on ​Instagram and soon began to branch out as an independent florist in ​Southern California while procuring weddings. I later swapped out Megan ​with Design and that's how Blooma by Design was created. While I freelanced ​with many different florists from Minnesota and California, I always dreamt ​of running the show! Soon enough, I was. We now have expanded to Brevard ​County, Florida.

I have to say, I LOVE color almost as much as flowers! I believe color was ​meant to play and explore new ways. I'm always testing my ability to grow as ​a person and florist while playing with colors and textures. So, do not be ​surprised if I ask you to add color. I can confidently say we are NOT afraid of ​color and a challenge!
